Getting great results depends on getting the process right.
By always checking the type of fabric before cleaning, we know if it’s a delicate natural fiber that’s sensitive to cleaning agents, or even if it’s sensitive to water and needs dry cleaning.
Then we can proceed with the cleaning, safely getting great results.
The chosen cleaning solution is worked through the fabric to break down the soiling, stains and marks are treated.
The cleaning solution is then extracted with a hot water that flushes away the dirt and cleaning products, and is immediately vacuumed away leaving your upholstery as dry as possible.
We use fans to speed up the drying process you you can use your fresh and clean upholstery as soon as possible.

What will cleaning my sofa cost?
The cost of cleaning upholstery will vary depending on if it is dry clean only or if it is safe to wet clean. It will also depend on if you have reversible cushions, with two sides to clean or if the cushions are fixed in place. Having a protector applied is also an additional charge.
If you need the item treated for an odour, particularly from urine please let us know in advance so we can bring the best suited products. This is not generally included in the cost for the cleaning process.
What do I need to do before the cleaning?
Please move smaller items from on or around the item to be cleaned. Making some space around the upholstery allows us to move the item so we can clean the back. We can move items of furniture like coffee tables if you are unable.
How long will the upholstery cleaning take?
As a guide to correctly clean a three piece suite would take 3 or 4 hours.
What is the Afresh 100% Guarantee?
If you we unhappy with the cleaning of your upholstery we would return and re-clean the item. If you were still unhappy we would give you refund for the cleaning of the item.
Any damage to items is covered by our insurance.
Are you insured and qualified?
Yes, I have specific training in cleaning upholstery from the IICRC, and training in Fine Fabrics from The Woolsafe Org, along with 12 years experience dealing with all different types of upholstery and all different types of soiling.
Can you apply an upholstery protector?
We do apply upholstery protectors once an item is cleaned. Please let us know in advance so we can use the appropriate product.
Terms and Conditions
Please be aware that carpets and upholstery may not have a consistent appearance after cleaning because of differences in wear and tear. Sunlight will sometimes cause fading in areas of the carpet or fabric and cleaning cannot rectify this. Stains are not always visible before dirt is removed and it may not be possible to remove those stains completely. The Company will use its best efforts to provide a good result but Clients are asked to be aware of these limitations which are common to all cleaning operations.
Please secure or remove all fragile and highly breakable items and any valuble items before any cleaning takes place. We will often work with the front door open, so please move any keys, wallets, purses and handbags to secure locations and out of view from the street.
Please inspect the work immediately after its completion and to draw the operatives attention to any outstanding cleaning issues while they are still on site. The operatives will carry out any such additional work to your complete satisfaction. If you or any third party instructed by the you is not present at the time of completion of the service then no claims regarding any cleaning issues can be made.

We had stuck mats down by the patio doors & when we took them up we were left with a horrible sticky residue on the carpet.
I would advise anyone not to stick mats on carpet, unless you are keeping mats in place for years to come.
After much physical work, Richard was able to get this residue off and his work on the lounge & hallway carpet, was first class.
We have now purchased made to measure carpet mats, made from the same carpet that is in the lounge. The carpet mats have edging. These are perfect as I'm in & out of the patio doors about 12 times every day.
In another 2 years we will have no hesitation with phoning on Richard again. We have told neighbours that when they need carpets cleaned, to do the same. -
