Hot water extraction, or sometimes called steam cleaning is widely accepted as the most effective carpet cleaning method.
Our machine gives us plenty of hot water, and greater suction for cleaner and drier carpets and all without using your electricity!
Our machine remains in the van, only the hoses come into you home, with fresh water tanks, and a tank to take away the dirty water, this makes the whole process smoother for you.
The process includes firstly, vacuuming and moving furniture as needed.
Then applying a specialist carpet cleaning agent. This cleaning agent is then worked through the pile to remove all the dirt and oils that are attached to the pile.
Only then do we use the main machine, to rinse away the dirt and soil with a hot water solution that is immediately vacuumed away before it can soak into your carpet.
Finally the carpet is fast dried with fans so you can use it all the sooner.

What will cleaning my carpets cost?
I believe in a fair pricing for carpet cleaning. It takes time to clean a carpet properly, that means that a large lounge will cost more than a small lounge. I will try to deal with stains and odours in the process, but we need to know in advance of any problem areas in case the treatment will take longer than usual. The current health crisis has affected how we provide prices, on some occasions I can visit you to answer any questions and to provide for a free quote, but mostly at the present time while we are all trying to restrict contact with others, and if you prefer, you can call and we can discuss your requirements and work out the cost for you.
Do I need to move the furniture?
We can move as much or as little furniture as needed! If you’d like me to work around the furniture that’s fine and it will cost you less, on the other hand if you need the furniture moved that’s no problem either.
The only restrictions being that the item is not too heavy to safely move, and that it is stable enough to move, we also ask you to remove costly electrical items from furniture that is to be moved, that’s mostly T.V. sets, in most cases we will work around T.V. stands and leave them in place.
If you are having furniture moved please remove ornaments and items from on top of the furniture, if you can, remove smaller items like side tables and magazine racks and remove draws from heavy units to make them lighter, do not worry if you aren’t able to move these things, just let me know.
When the carpet is clean the furniture will go back in place on plastic tabs to prevent any rust marks or wood stain from marking the carpet, you can remove these later.
How long will the cleaning take?
As a guide a small/medium lounge and hall, stairs and landing I would expect to take a couple of hours depending on furniture and any stain treatments needed. I do not compromise on the quality of the cleaning just to be quicker!
How long before we can use the carpets again?
Generally carpets are dry in a couple of hours.
Synthetic piles will generally dry faster than wool, and deeper piles take longer than short piles.
Odour treatments may make carpets wetter and take longer to dry, particularly if the underlay and floorboards also need to be treated, but there will be no bad smell as the area dries.

Rarely though things do go wrong, and here is what we do.
1. We will rush back and re-clean or treat the area.
2. If you are still not happy, we will give you a full refund for cleaning of the room or item.
3. If the item is damaged due to our work we will contact our insurance company to provide a replacement.
Are you insured and qualified?
Yes. I am trained in carpet and upholstery cleaning and stain removal by the IICRC, the independent international cleaning training company.
I am also trained by the Woolsafe organization, to safely clean your wool carpets to help them resist stains and to extend their use. I am a Woolsafe Approved Service Provider.
Our insurance covers public liability and item worked upon, and is provided by Hiscox.
Can you apply a carpet or upholstery protector?
I can apply a carpet or upholstery protector.
Wool and natural fibres will benefit mostly from an application, that will help them to resist staining.
The protector should be re-applied after 18 months to newly cleaned carpets or upholstery.
How do you like payment?
Often folk pay by card, or by BACs (details will be on the invoice), we also take cash payments and sometimes we get payment by cheque.
