The correct process brings effective cleaning, we always take the time needed rather than trying to be quick.
We may visit before cleaning to identify the fabric and the best cleaning method and to provide a quote. We then know what cleaning solutions to use for your upholstery be it delicate, dry clean only, or a loved well used family sofa.
The cleaning agent that we work through the pile will help remove the build up of grime, particularly needed for arms and head rests, which tend to get quite dirty.
The machine is then used to vacuum away the dirt and cleaning agents, washing the surface fabric with hot water and vacuuming that hot water and cleaning solution away, leaving the fabric as dry as possible.
You want to use your clean items as soon as possible so we use fans to speed up the drying process.

What will cleaning my sofa cost?
The cost of cleaning upholstery will vary depending on if it is dry clean only or if it is safe to wet clean. It will also depend on if you have reversible cushions, with two sides to clean or if the cushions are fixed in place. Having a protector applied is also an additional charge.
If you need the item treated for an odour, particularly from urine please let us know in advance so we can bring the best suited products. This is not generally included in the cost for the cleaning process.
What do I need to do before the cleaning?
Please move smaller items from on or around the item to be cleaned. Making some space around the upholstery allows us to move the item so we can clean the back. We can move items of furniture like coffee tables if you are unable.
How long will the upholstery cleaning take?
As a guide to correctly clean a three piece suite would take 3 or 4 hours.
What is the Afresh 100% Guarantee?
In the unlikely event you were unhappy with the cleaning of your upholstery we would return and re-clean the item. If you were still unhappy we would give you refund for the cleaning of the item.
Any damage to items is covered by our insurance.
Are you insured and qualified?
Yes, I have specific training in cleaning upholstery from the IICRC, and training in Fine Fabrics from The Woolsafe Org, along with 12 years experience dealing with all different types of upholstery and all different types of soiling.
Can you apply an upholstery protector?
We do apply upholstery protectors once an item is cleaned. Please let us know in advance so we can use the appropriate product.
What payment methods do you take?
We can take card payments, for BACs payments the details wil be on the invoice, we also take cash and we also receive a cheque payment every now and then.
